The Sessions - July 20, 2013


The Sessions will be hosting a free event at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday July 20, 2013 from 11 am – 5 pm.

Guest panelists include Bernard Purdie (Legendary Drummer/Recording Artist/Educator), Ralphe Armstrong (Bassist/Recording Artist), and Brian Pastoria (Drummer/Producer). Paul Quin (Entertainment Attorney and partner at Saxon, Gilmore, Carraway & Gibbons), Dom Famularo (Drummer/Author), Joe Hibbs (Artist Relations/Product Development), and Liberty Devitto (Drummer/Recording Artist) will complete the panel. Topics to be discussed include marketing, networking, artist relations, self-promotion, entertainment law and performance fundamentals.

Paul Quin, interviewed on CBS Radio


Paul Quin, entertainment attorney, was interviewed by Alisa Zee of CBS Radio. Mr. Quin discussed the business aspects of the music industry. It is important to know how to market yourself, network with industry executives and protect yourself from a business and legal perspective. Some of the more frequently asked questions Mr. Quin has had to answer include topics such as digital marketing and copyright laws, how to use social media, and how does the band protect themselves when a band member leaves.  Click here to listen.

Summer NAMM


Paul Quin will be a panelist at the Summer NAMM event on July 13, 2013. The event will be held at the Nashville Music City Center from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

Mr. Quin and Dom Famularo (Drummer/Author) will be joined by guest panelists Brian Vance (Production Management/Marketing/Artist Relations), Brent Mason (Grammy winning session musician, songwriter, composer) and Ndugu Chancler (Drummer, Percussionist, Producer, Composer, Clinician, and Educator).
