Mediatech Institute in Dallas, TX

Paul Quin, entertainment lawyer and partner at Saxon Gilmore & Carraway, P.A., was a member of the Sessions panel at the “Your Path to Success” event. The event was held at the Mediatech Institute in Dallas, TX on May 11, 2015.

The Sessions panelists included Dom Famularo (Global Drumming Ambassador), Joe Hibbs (Artists Relations Product Development), Christine Ohlman (Vocalist/Musicologist), John Martinez (Drummer/Producer), Mark Schulman (Drummer/Author) and Chuck Rainey (Legendary Bassist/Recording Artist who played with Steely Dan and Aretha Franklin, and is the co-founder of Rhythm Intensive).

The panelists discussed marketing, networking, artist relations, self-promotion, and entertainment law.

Access to Music LTD in Birmingham, England was host to the Sessions event on March 23, 2015.  Panelists included Paul Quin, Bev Bevan (Legendary Drummer for The Move and Electric Light Orchestra), Sue Wilson-Quin (Singer/Songwriter), Dom Famularo (Drumming’s Global Ambassador), and Joe Hibbs (Mapex Drums Artist Relations Manager).


The Sessions supports students and new artists in the music industry by providing these events to teach the other side of the music industry - the business side.  Topics discussed include marketing, entertainment law, artist relations, self-promotion and more.

Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Nocera Terinese, Italy

Paul Quin was a panelist at the Sessions event on March 18, 2015.  The event was held at the Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Nocera Terinese, Italy.  Additional panelists included Frederic Macarez (Timpanist and Educator), Christine Ohlman (Vocalist/Songwriter), Dom Famularo (Drumming’s Global Ambassador), Liberty DeVitto (Drummer/Recording Artist), and Joe Hibbs (Mapex Drums Artist Relations Manager).



The presentation included advice to artists on how to sharpen their business skills with regard to their music career.  As an extra bonus, attendees were given the opportunity to jam with the panel.

Glen Sobel is an American drummer who has performed and recorded in many different genres. Mainly known for being the drummer for Alice Cooper since 2011, Sobel has also worked with Sixx: A.M., Vasco Rossi, Elliott Yamin of American Idol, SX-10, Beautiful Creatures, Impellitteri, Gary Hoey, Tony MacAlpine, and many more. As a member of the house band at various events in 2011 and 2012, Sobel played behind such varied artists as Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, Rob Halford, "Weird" Al Yankovic, Mike Myers, Pat Simmons, Michael McDonald, and others.

Paul Quin recently attended a performance by Fab Faux.  The Fab Faux is a musical tribute band performing the works of The Beatles (whose members were often known as the "Fab Four"). The group was founded by Will Lee, bassist for Late Show with David Letterman, and features Jimmy Vivino, Music Director for Conan, Rich Pagano (Drummer/Studio Owner/Producer), Frank Agnello (Guitar and Vocals), and Jack Petruzzelli, guitarist for Joan Osborne (Guitar and Keyboards).
